Software Lead

AFORE Solutions develops software in C/C++ for telecommunication systems.

These solutions are based on carrier grade embedded operating systems (For example: vxWorks, Linux).

Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing C/C++ code for reliable, fault tolerant, carrier grade platforms.
• Analyzing and providing solutions to requirements provided by our Clients
• Providing design and implementation estimates
• Analyzing and characterizing software failures

The requirements for candidates are:

• Strong C and/or C++ coding skills with recent experience
• Energy and enthusiasm to work as part of a hard-working, dedicated team
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Ability to learn using technical documentation without assistance
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Desirable:

• Experience in developing telecommunication systems or real-time embedded systems
• Demonstrate a positive influence by practicing corporate leadership attributes
• Required to be a Coaching Partner/SME to transfer knowledge to new employees and less experienced internal and project team members (includes educating and coaching on processes)
